Advanced Water Technologies received an enquiry via our website from a nationwide firm of solicitors. They had undertaken some work on the water system within one of their office buildings, this had brought to their attention the possible requirement of a Legionella risk assessment.

They contacted us to ask our advice on this and spoke to one of our Legionella Risk Assessors. We quoted for the building in question and progressed to undertake the work required.

Following a full Legionella risk assessment:

• Recommendations were made regarding the equipment required to carry out the domestic monitoring accurately
• We generated a control scheme for each building with requirements so they would be compliant in their responsibilities to include, but not exclusive to;
• Flushing of little used outlets
• Monthly temperatures of sentinel outlets and rotational random outlets
• Shower cleaning quarterly
• CWST inspections and temperatures

To date we have undertaken further risk assessments on two other office sites for the company. In addition our risk assessor carried out a comprehensive training course for all responsible personnel from each site to ensure competency to carry out all required tasks and correct recording of information.
